Coach Carlos Petersen is the Director of Coaching for Madison Soccer Club and is in his sixteenth year at the helm of the UAH Men's Soccer program.
Petersen holds an NSCAA National Diploma and the NSCAA Advanced National Diploma, and is a USSF-A Licensed Coach. He has over 26 years experience in youth coaching and development. He has attended several international coaching clinics to learn the style of play for Brazil, Holland, Mexico, Jamaica and Morocco.
Under Petersen's tenure, his college teams have set several school records and have won a total of 3 regular season GSC titles and 2 GSC Tournament Titles. He is the only UAH Men's Soccer Coach to lead the Chargers to NCAA post-season play. He has also received GSC Coach of the Year honors on three occasions.
Coach Petersen is a native of Santiago, Chile. His playing experience has taken him to Germany, Chile and the US. He has unique understanding for the game of soccer in the United States, mixing his international experience with US style of play to give the American player a new approach to the American game of soccer.
